News: Two upcoming exhibits and a new project
12.30.06
2006 was a pretty good year for Krushervision Art + Design Industries, here. Got the online shop up and running, made a lot of new friends and contacts, did lots of work. As the year plummets to its death in these last few days, it appears that 2007 is already off to a great start, as I will have work shown in two exhibits during the first quarter of the new year!

First up is the infamous Dirty Show 8, running February 9, 10, 11, and 14, 2007, at Bert's Warehouse Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. My little Burlie-Q painting will be shown amidst a vast sea of erotica, so if you are at the show, please seek it out. I am very excited and proud to have had my work selected for this event, as I've had an interest in it for the past couple years. Next year, I will definitely submit more work, and since my entry this year is quite tame, I am really gonna bring the Dirty next time.

After that, K-vision will be represented at Ooh La La!: Burlesque Inspired Art from March 20-26, 2007, at View from the Top gallery in Nottingham, England! I will have a series of 4 all-new paintings there (which I haven't even started yet!), and my work will be shown alongside that of such artists as my friend and fellow pinup/erotica artist Charlotte Thomson and photographer Natalie J. Watts, who also happen to be organizing the exhibit. Don't worry, I will also show off the work I'm doing for that show here on Krushervision as well, so even if you can't make it to jolly old England, you can still check it out.

But even before either of those shows, I will have a new project/product available for your conspicuous consumption: the very first set of Krushervision Tattoo Flash! I am currently hard at work on a 6-sheet set of flash featuring your favorite monsters from some of my more popular artworks, as well as lots of new ones! If all goes as planned, the set will make its debut at Rick's 12th International Tattoo Convention in Green Bay, Wisconsin, running January 18-21, 2007, and will be available for purchase at my good friend Erika Jones' booth, where she will be slingin' tattys. I might even have a few t-shirts there too, so if you are going to the GB convention, make sure to stop by Erika's booth, check out our stuff (she's got an awesome book of flash too!), and get some ink from her. (I will definitely be there on Thursday the 18th getting some work done myself, and will be at the convention here and there throughout the weekend!)

Throw a few website projects in the mix as well, and aught-seven is getting off to a busy start for me. I'd like to thank everybody who's made 2006 an important year for Krushervision, and say that I am ready to absolutely conquer 2007!!

New art: Queen of New York
09.11.06
The queen of New York has arrived with her king, and you can see her now in the Art section! I've spent over a week on this new pinup piece and it wasn't until just this second as I typed the date above that I realized that it's being uploaded on 9/11. This was not intentional, but perhaps it's appropriate.

The Queen is available now on a 16x20 poster at the Krush-O-Mart, and if you like the art, I do recommend picking up the poster because a lot of detail is lost as I shrink it to web-friendly size. T-shirts will be forthcoming as I'll need to alter the artwork a bit.

New t-shirts! Receive the Krush-O-Mart News in your email!
08.30.06
There are two new t-shirts available in the Shop!

First, check out "Avoid Missing Ball For High Score" in the Gamer Gear section -- it's almost as old-school as a videogame tee can get!

Then look in the Monster Mayhem! department for "Person Costume" -- it's one of my unused designs for the Cafe Clash Halloween t-shirt contest.

Both are available in multiple styles so find one you like and put your torso in it. Only at the Krush-O-Mart!

Also, if you go over to the Shop page here on Krushervision, you can now sign up for the Krush-O-Mart News, a free newsletter keeping you up-to-date on the latest products! I have no idea what the frequency of the newsletter will be -- I may do monthly, I may do biweekly, I might just put one out every time I release a new product -- but if you'd like updates sent right to your email, sign up already!

Thanks anyway, but new art!
08.26.06
Unfortunately, I didn't win the Cafe Clash t-shirt contest. It was a close race though -- 203 votes to 241! So thanks anyway to everyone who voted for my design. I appreciate your support. Of course, it's still available in the Shop...!

Meanwhile, though, I've just finished a new piece that I'm really happy with: Film Buff! See it in the Art section, and order t-shirts (2 different versions of the art available!) and an actual 16x20 poster at the Krush-O-Mart, of course!

Vote for my design in Cafe Clash 3!
08.18.06
Today is the day Cafe Clash 3 begins! Please visit http://blog.detourdesign.com and vote for my Halloween t-shirt design. If you can't tell which one is mine, there's a thumbnail of it to the right, and you can get a good look at it in the Art section here, under the simple title of "Halloween". And if you love it, you can already buy the t-shirt at the Krush-O-Mart in the Monster Mayhem! or All Products sections!

My more-than-worthy opponent is Daniel Davis of Steam Crow Press. His stuff is sick. But we've corresponded, he's a nice guy and only good can come of this friendly competition. I won't be too upset if you vote for his design instead, I guess...but I'd really appreciate your support! Thank you!

Oh, and by the way...the Latin phrase on the piece translates to "Trick or treat - smell my feet." For real.

New art: Gills
08.09.06
Finally adding to the series of classic monster cartoons, I've just uploaded Gills to the Art section. This guy is my favorite human-sized monster of 'em all! And of course, he's available on t-shirts and postcards in the Shop too!

Cafe Clash 3 featuring Krushervision!
08.08.06
I've been chosen to participate in Detour Design's Cafe Clash 3! It's a contest that pits two t-shirt designers head-to-head in mortal combat, naked in a pit full of venomous asps and barbed wire, fighting to the death!! er...wait, no. It's a contest in which two Cafepress shop owners design a t-shirt based on a given theme, and the designs are voted on by the public. This particular Clash's theme is Halloween, a subject obviously very near and dear to my heart. I am up against Daniel Davis of Steam Crow Press, and although I know I have at least enough talent to have been asked to compete, this cat is real damn good so I have my work cut out for me!

Our t-shirts will be posted at blog.detourdesign.com, and the voting will take place right there, beginning August 18. I already have a few different ideas, but we can submit only one, and I have ten days to make it happen. I hope I can count on your support!

Deluxe 920 Magazine website now online
08.01.06
My latest assignment, the website for the upcoming Deluxe 920 Magazine, is now online.

Deluxe 920, a new mag planned to launch this fall, is a "...publication that covers the people, places, and trends of the Green Bay, Oshkosh, and the Fox Cities area." (That's here in Wisconsin.) It's gonna be hip and very cool. Check out the site for now, and keep an eye out for the magazine this November.

New art: Tifa!
07.01.06
After months of promises, I've finally finished a new pinup: Sweden's very lovely Tifa! I said I was going to draw her forever ago and I've just gotten the piece done. Check it out in the Art section. Sorry to Tifa for the long wait, but I hope everyone likes it!

Also, please note that the Art and Graphic Design links on the right menu have been swapped. I figured I'm doing a lot more art than design these days so the Art & Illustration link should be on top.

GAMER GEAR now available at the Krush-O-Mart!
05.28.06
If you haven't noticed yet, I've started yet another category of t-shirt designs. This line is a little different, as it doesn't quite fit in with my usual themes of monsters and pinup girls. Instead, I'm designing original gear to follow my other true passion in life: Hardcore Videogame Enthusiasm!

Yep, the geek has come out, and I have about a bajillion ideas for gamer-themed t-shirt designs. Many of them are aimed at serious gamers and hobbyists with a knowledge of lingo and inside jokes, but some of them may still be recognizable to the general public.

At any rate, head over to the Shop (don't forget to click on the Krush-O-Mart logo to actually get to the mart!) and check out the new Gamer Gear section. (I've now reorganized the entire Krush-O-Mart into sections, so when you get there you can choose from "Girls Girls Girls!", "Monster Mayhem," "Gamer Gear," or "Krushervision Swag" -- and there's still an "All Products" section so you can see it all at once!)

New art: Space chick! Mail my art!
05.18.06
There's a new piece in the Art section: a cool untitled space ranger chick, fleeing from a big green eyeball monster. This is my first time using gouache, so please excuse the lack of experience.

Also, if ya haven't noticed, the Shop now has postcards! Most of the pieces that are available on tees and posters are now available for you to mail to your friends!

More new monster art! Black t-shirts off the market!
04.26.06 | UPDATED AGAIN 04.30.06
Two new monster illustrations in the Art department: The Count and Mummy. The mummy one was actually drawn way back in March of last year, and I just now got around to doing the digital color. And as seems to be the case lately, both designs are already available as t-shirts at the Krush-O-Mart. UPDATE: Mr. & Mrs. F are here! T-shirts available too!

You may have noticed that the black t-shirts that were available at the Krush-O-Mart have suddenly disappeared. After receiving samples of two of them, I was severely disappointed with their quality. Therefore, the five black tees (Witch's Helper, Film Noir Dame color and B/W versions, The Count, and Mummy) have been changed to ringer styles. I really wish the black tees would have worked out, but I'm not about to peddle merchandise of unacceptable quality at you.

UPDATE: By special request, the Mermaid is now available on a t-shirts and tanks!

New art: Monster Mash II!
04.20.06
I've just finished a piece that has been in the works for quite some time: Monster Mash II! Check it out over in Art. Not only that, it's already available as a 16x20 poster in the Krush-O-Mart. There's been nothing but pinup girls coming out of Krushervision Heavy Industry Laboratories lately, and as much as I love 'em (and boy-o-boy do I love 'em), I needed a break -- which means I'm back on monster detail with a vengeance! MM2 is just the beginning -- keep it here for more monstrous mayhem, ALL of which will be available on Krush-O-Mart merchandise!

You'll also notice that I rearranged the Art section so that the new stuff is at the top, rather than making you scroll to the bottom. Figured it's the least I can do for you in return for visiting K-vision!

More Krush-O-Mart items added alla time
04.19.06
If you haven't been paying attention, there's a pantsload of stuff available at the Shop already! Lots of t-shirts, including some variations on art already seen here on Krushervision (such as the two different versions of the "film noir dame" art) as well as some stuff that hasn't even been put up here yet (check out the "Burlesque Tonite!" tee, which was one of my entries into the Java's Bachelor Pad Exotic World Tour t-shirt contest, now in full color!).

And it's not just t-shirts -- there are finally posters available of some of my art. They're 16x20, suitable for framing! And like the t-shirts, send me a photo of you with one of my posters on your wall, and you'll be added to the Shop gallery.

And just think -- I haven't even started doing monster stuff yet...!

KRUSH-O-MART now open for bidniss!!
03.27.06 | UPDATED AGAIN 03.30.06
If you'll be so kind as to look rightward, you'll notice a shiny new link in the navigationalistical area: SHOP! I've finally decided to create an online shop using Cafepress called The Official Krushervision Krush-O-Mart! That's right kids, pinup girl t-shirts are HERE!!

The first items I've got up are the Whoopsie! T-shirts, which is one I've been wanting to do ever since I first did the drawing almost a year and a half ago. It comes in a white ringer men's t-shirt AND a women's babydoll style (both styles available with your choice of black or blue ringers, but I highly recommend the black)! There's also a cool Krushervision Bumper Sticker that you can rock on your vehicle if you wanna show K-vision some love on the highway, in traffic, or at the drive-thru! UPDATE! 03.28.06: I've already put up the second t-shirt design: It's Gojiko! She's on a white t-shirt in men's sizes and a women's babydoll style. UPDATE 2! 03.30.06: I'm at it again! The bunny girl on the tattoo machine is the newest t-shirt! The t-shirt version of the art has been modified quite a bit from the original as seen here on K-vision, so check it out. This one is available on a men's t-shirt, women's babydoll tee, AND women's spaghetti tank (so you can show us your tats -- that's TATS!!). Keep checking in often, cuz more products are coming very soon! (The original screenprinted Kaijunior t-shirt, however, is still only available through me -- contact me to order that one.)

Plus, I'll be adding a special feature here on Krushervision -- if you buy a t-shirt (or whatever other items I create) and email me a photo of yourself wearing it, you'll be added to a rogues' gallery right on the Shop page! I'm hoping to see lots of you hep cats and cool chicks makin' the scene!

Late-ish update: New art! Contest! Rock 'n' roll!
03.26.06
This update shoulda been done a long time ago, but I'm just now getting to it. There's some new Art up:The Sport of Kings series of paintings, and my current tattoo portfolio cover, which involves a hot bunny girl and a flaming eyeball, among other things.

Also, I currently have a couple of designs in the Exotic World Tour t-shirt contest over at Java's Bachelor Pad Cheesecake Yahoo! group. Please head over there, join his group (you gotta be registered at Yahoo!, but that's easy), check 'em out and vote! If my designs don't win, I'll probably turn the line drawings into finished pieces. So either way, we all win.

Meanwhile, please enjoy this photo of Brad Van of Droids Attack rockin' out onstage in his Kaijunior t-shirt. You wanna be cool like Brad, don'tcha? Then contact me and order a t-shirt! Plenty available! ;)

New art!
02.03.06
Have ya checked the Art & Illustration page lately? There are a few new pinup girls in there: Gojiko, Germany's very own Sari, and a hot li'l mermaid whom I haven't come up with a name for yet. Check 'em out!

I also have a new triptych of paintings in the works titled The Sport of Kings series. The first one is finished, and I hope to have all three of them done and on the site in the next couple weeks.

HNY
01.01.06
Hope you all had a good holiday season! It's a new year and I'm looking forward to new projects. All things considered, 2005 was a pretty good year for me. I actually managed to reach a number of goals that I set for myself at this time last year: I got Krushervision.com here rolling, which I think has already helped me a lot in more ways than one, I got to work on some great projects and a lot of great art, I put out my first t-shirt (plenty left, buy one or three dammit), had some art in an exhibit, met a lot of new people...all in all, good strong steps toward my ultimate dream of world domination. Thanks to everybody who's been supportive of me and my work, you all mean a lot to me and I appreciate it the most!

So here's to twenty-aught-six, to workin' my butt off, to more goals, more work, more art, more tattoos, more monsters, more girls, and more fun! Let's ride!!

BONELESS exhibit at Firecracker
UPDATED 12.03.05
The Boneless: By Sk8ers 4 Sk8ers exhibit at Firecracker Studios in Madison, WI opened last night to a great turnout. The show runs through December 30, and it is awesome. Not only is there art on skateboard decks (which is what I did), but there are decks used in sculptures, skateboard photography, neon, all kinds of great stuff. If you're in the Madison area during December, stop by and check out the show! (Did I mention that Firecracker is also now carrying the blue Kaijunior t-shirts?) Huge thanks to David and Sam at Firecracker for inviting me to be a part of the show -- hopefully this is only the beginning of our collaborations.

The three pieces I did for the show are also in the Art section.

New art
11.20.05
Got 2 new pinup goils in the Art section, one of which is the one and only Bernie Dexter, the other of which I actually drew three months ago and just now got around to doing the digital color on. I've got another one inked up that needs color, look for it soon.

Kaijunior t-shirts are out!!
08.26.05
Hell yeah! My first t-shirt is out now and they're cool! They feature Kaijunior nestled amidst some blazonry with hot rod flames behind him. Check it out, they've got, like, sleeves, and a neck-hole, and everything! I'm stoked!

The Kaijunior t-shirts are available in both black and royal blue 50/50 cotton/poly shirts, both with white screen print (not heat transfers), and come in adult sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL. Sorry, no girls' baby tees -- yet! We'll see how this first run goes and if there's enough interest, girls' sizes will be forthcoming.

All sizes are 20 bucks (yeah, even the XXLs -- big dudes deserve equal pricing!) and are available here through Krushervision.com, at Needle Freaks Tattoo & Monkey Skulls Novelty Shop in Menasha, WI, and Cat's Meow in Madison, WI. I don't have any online shopping set up here on K-vision just yet, but shoot me an email for ordering info. (Or, if you're in the area, you get 'em cheaper if you get a tattoo from me!)

This has been a goal of mine for a long time and I'm really excited about it. And of course, if the Kaijunior tees are a hit, there will definitely be more in the works -- I really wanna get some of the pinup girls and more monsters onto t-shirts soon, so I hope I can count on your support!

Idea Agency website online
08.09.05
After numerous setbacks and many weeks of work, The Idea Agency website is finally live. The finished product is absolutely zero percent anywhere close to my initial vision for the site -- they were initially going to let me run with my idea for an interactive retro-radio theme, but unfortunately that was scrapped a few weeks into the project in favor of a very typical top-logo/left-nav layout. Such is the corporate mindset, but I did try to inject at least some style into the site with the static background graphics and animated links.

Anyway, with this project finally off my plate, I can move on -- I've got new art in the works and I'm in the beginning stages of getting my first t-shirt design out, so keep your eyeballs peeled for that!

Okay, I lied
05.12.05
There was one art project I was working on for the last couple months: Lane's Toybox, which you can see in the Art section. That's essentially five paintings, I guess. Anyway, it features Kaijunior characters. It's pretty cool.

Another web project up and running
04.26.05
My creative life has largely been put on pause because I was offered a project to work on for World Vision, the charitable organization, in conjunction with The Idea Agency, which is the radio production agency out of Portland, OR that employs my good friend Spakkle (through whom I got the hookup with the gig, of course). The catch was that the job came with an extremely tight deadline, forcing me to basically shove aside all my other projects and creative endeavors and devote the last couple weeks solely to it. But it's done now and the result is the World Vision Radio Resource Site, which is an online resource for WV radio spots produced by TIA. You can visit the site if you want, but it's honestly not real visually exciting (not for a K-project, anyway), and you can only see the first page because the rest of it is password-protected. But at any rate, I did that site for them, and it came out well, so Go Krush!

Next project on deck is the new website for The Idea Agency itself, and it'll have a much looser timeframe in which to work, so hopefully I can get back to producing more new fun stuff like drawings and paintings.

Regal Nigl now online!
03.24.05
Check it out, it's Krushervision's first update...Mere days after the debut of the new K-vision comes the other web project I've been working on for the last few months, Regal Nigl. Nikki Nigl creates these amazing little handmade cards and envelopes and invitations and stuff like that, and she's starting a business to get them into the hands of the rest of the world. The site looks very analog and handmade, just like her work, and I think it's pretty cool. So go check out her new site, enjoy, and have her do your next round of invitations or some birthday cards for your friends!

Random: Sony's new PSP is released today...I want one.

Hello and welcome to the all-new Krushervision!
I'm glad you found me! This is a vast upgrade to the previous, design-heavy, yet criminally under-utilized Krushervision that was online for the last few years. With this new site, I'll be presenting a better-realized portfolio of my GD work, as well as displaying much more of my new artwork -- something I have been working on re-igniting after years of stagnancy. Also, I hope to keep the updates regular, do a little more experimenting with small web-based projects, and add a bit more interactivity for my visitors. Eventually, I would even like to incorporate an online shop, offering prints, t-shirts and merchandise featuring my original art and designs.

I'm hoping this is the start of a whole new adventure for me and my work. I've been at this whole art and design and web thing for a long time -- it's finally time to let everyone know who I am. Much more will be coming to the site in the days and weeks following as I continually add content and revamp the graphics, so please keep checking back to see what's new. Thanks for visiting and make sure to drop me a line and let me know what you'd like to see on the site!
